Martin Schmidt
Martin is a State Authorised Public Accountant with extensive experience from the reporting and audit industry as adviser and auditor. Before establishing NORD advise, Martin was Partner and Head of Reporting and Accounting Advisory Services in KPMG, an advisory function focusing on ESG and financial reporting, Assurance services, Investor relations, M&A, IPOs and more.
Martin is a well-known name in the audit industry from education and exams, and recently Martin was part of designing the sustainability education for CPAs in Denmark where he currently teaches auditors at the Sustainability Academy in relation to ESG reporting and Assurance.
Furthermore, Martin serves as the deputy chairman of the Sustainability committee under FSR – Danske Revisorer and is a member of Accountancy Europe.
Thomas Steen Hansen
Thomas has extensive experience from the financial sector, specialising in Equity Research, Investor Relations, IPOs, and financial communication. He provides strategic guidance to listed and non-listed companies in strengthening transparency and credibility in their communications with financial markets and key stakeholders.
Previously, Thomas served as Senior Vice President and Global Head of Equity Research at Danske Bank, and he held senior roles at ABN Amro, Alfred Berg, Handelsbanken Capital Markets, and KPMG. With 25 years of financial sector experience, his focus has been on Equity Research, IPOs, and investment advisory. He also brings significant expertise in Investor Relations, gained through consultancy engagements and close collaboration with IR teams from a sell-side perspective.
Thomas serves as Deputy Chairman at Finansforeningen and CFA Denmark. He is also an active member of Finansforeningen’s Accounting Committee, contributing to the advancement of financial reporting and investor relations practices.
Daniella Krol
Daniella has extensive experience from the reporting and audit industry, as accounting and reporting specialist, and auditor. Before establishing NORD advise, Daniella was heading the ESG reporting and advisory department in KPMG, working with a team of six dedicated ESG professionals. She has also worked as a senior IFRS accounting and reporting specialist at A.P. Moller-Maersk, where she led the EU Taxonomy implementation project.
Daniella has contributed to designing the sustainability education for CPAs in Denmark and teaches auditors at the Sustainability Academy in relation to ESG reporting and Assurance.
Furthermore, Daniella holds an ESG Investing Certificate from the CFA Institute.
