In some situations, it may be more appropriate for us to work directly with the auditor’s client — for example in more complex matters where various memos, analyses or calculations need to be prepared, or where separation between the auditor and the preparer of the financial statements is required for independence reasons.

The resulting material can subsequently form part of the auditor’s documentation in the assurance engagement, thereby strengthening both the quality of the work and the basis for the auditor’s conclusion.
